Development of Haihara
Haihara has been developed at city level in 2024-25 by the City of Tampere Public Cultural Services and Neighbourhood Programme of the Kaukajärvi and Annala districts, which has resulted in more events for visitors and concrete reforms in the area. The development work has also resulted in Haihara having its own coordinator, whose tasks include maintaining the network of actors and developing the area together with the locals, in addition to organising events. New content has also been tried out in addition to the traditional cooperation events and concerts in the manor house. This past winter, new content has included theme nights open to all, HaiharaFest, a Halloween event, community light art workshops, Haihara Christmas, Haihara Arts Friday and Haihara Spring Carnival. The development of new cultural events aims to increase the sense of community and inclusion in the area and encourage new multilingual and all-age participants. The events are organised in partnership with a number of partners, are free of charge and open to all.
