Printing and copying in libraries

You can print in all Tampere libraries. Most libraries have a multifunctional device for printing, copying and scanning.

A PIKI library card is required to use the multifunctional device. You can also use an electronic library card. Before the first use, the customer must register their library card in the system using a multifunctional device.

There is a charge for printing and copying. Scanning to a memory stick or e-mail is free of charge.

Copies and prints are charged to the library card

Copies and prints are paid for by the balance on the library card. Each card has a starting balance of 1 euro. Additional balances can be loaded at almost all libraries (except in Koukkuniemi, Nekala and Terälahti) by card payment.  Furthermore, cash can be used for payment in Metso, Hervanta, Koilliskeskus and Tesoma.

You can use the multifunctional device to check the amount of your card balance for copying and printing.

Please note that the balance on your library card can only be used to pay for copies and prints. Print balances, once loaded, are not refundable.
