The City of Tampere carbon and biodiversity footprints calculated

The City of Tampere, together with the University of Jyväskylä, has calculated the biodiversity and carbon footprints of the Tampere city organisation. The result shows for the first time the impact to biodiversity caused by a large urban organisation.

Support for young people's summer employment

The application period for the City of Tampere’s summer jobs has ended, but Tampere residents aged 15–17 are offered 130 Tutustu työelämään ja tienaa (‘Get to know working life and earn’) summer traineeships of either one or two weeks. Young people can also apply for the City of Tampere’s summer job voucher. Our Kesäduuni 2024 (‘Summer Jobs 2024’) campaign brings 17–30-year-old job seekers together with the summer jobs of companies. In addition, a Summer entrepreneurship voucher is available.
