Payments in employment area

The statutory employment service payment tasks of the Tampere Region Employment Area are centrally managed by the Payment Team of the City of Tampere’s Employment and Growth Services. The team handles the payment of start-up grants, wage subsidies, employment support, discretionary expense allowances, travel and accommodation reimbursements, workplace accommodation support, as well as invoices related to procurements connected to statutory employment services.

Electronic services speed up the processing of applications. Apply for payment in the Regional administration's E-service according to your decision. In the service, you can submit an application, respond to requests for additional information, supplement your application, and receive decisions related to your case. Information about electronic services can be found in the application instructions and forms.

Log in to the e-service using your personal online banking credentials, mobile ID, or certificate card. Complete the application and attach the required documents via the service menu. The e-service guides you through filling in the application and sends notifications about the progress of your case. For assistance in using the service, you can contact Enterprise Finland’s advisory service.

Apply for the payment of the start-up grant electronically in the Regional administration's e-service.

The start-up grant is paid on the 15th and the last day of each month. If the payment date falls on a weekend or public holiday, the payment will be made on the preceding banking day.

If you want to change the withholding tax rate for the start-up grant, request a revised tax card for the benefit through the Finnish Tax Administration’s MyTax service.

Follow these steps:

Request a revised tax card specifically for the benefit, not for salary.
Select “other Finnish payer” as the payer of the benefit.
In the drop-down menu under benefit details, choose “other Finnish payer.”
Enter the payer’s Business ID 0211675-2 (City of Tampere). The name “City of Tampere” will then appear automatically.

Please note that you do not need to send the revised tax card to Employment and Growth Services. We receive the updated tax information directly from the Tax Administration when the payer details are correct.

Apply for the reimbursement of the discretionary expense allowance electronically in the Regional Administration’s TE e-service. The payment application must be submitted by the end of the calendar month following the payment period.

If you are unable to use the electronic service, you can also apply for the reimbursement using a paper form.
