Parking enforcement

Parking enforcement in the City of Tampere is managed by the City's Parking Enforcement Unit. Parking inspections on public streets are carried out by City parking enforcement officers, who are authorized to issue parking fines. If a parking violation is minor, a parking inspector may issue a verbal or written warning.

Parking

Parking charges are intended to ensure that sufficient parking spaces are available to all visitors in the city. When parking, remember to check the applicable payment zone (parking fee) using a parking meter or parking application. Also check the permitted parking times shown on traffic signs. If You use a parking app, make sure that the correct vehicle registration number has been selected.

Parking payment machines are operated by Finnpark Ltd.
 

Report an improperly parked vehicle

Anyone may report an improperly parked vehicle located on a public street or parking area.

If the vehicle is located on private property, such as a residential buildings courtyard or parking area, a report may be submitted to the City of Tampere Parking Enforcement Unit only by a representative of the property owner, such as a property manager or a member of the housing company's board.
