Early childhood education and care plan

How are the child's strengths taken into account in everyday early childhood education and care? What is the role of cooperation between early childhood education staff and the parents of the children? Can parents participate in planning early childhood education and care?
These questions, among others, are answered in the City of Tampere Early Childhood Education Plan, which covers daycare centres, family daycare and open early childhood education, i.e. clubs. The plan applies to both municipal and private early childhood education and care.
The City of Tampere early childhood education plan is based on the Early Childhood Education Act and the National Core Curriculum for Early Childhood Education and Care.

Early childhood education and care plan

A personal early childhood education and care plan is drawn up for each child in family daycare and early childhood education. It is drawn up as a process and carried out in cooperation with the guardians and the child.

The child's response will show the strengths and resources of each child as well as their individual needs. The early childhood education and care plan is a pedagogical plan for taking the child into account as an individual in the activities of early childhood education and care. The plan for each child will be assessed on a regular basis.

The plan will be recorded in the eVaka Tampere system with the approval of the parents.
