Youth Culture Centre Monitoimitalo 13

Monitoimitalo 13 is the Culture Centre of the City of Tampere's youth services, offering a wide range of leisure and culture facilities for young poeple. The culture centre offers both open and guided activities, workshops, events, courses and facilities for rent.

Monitoimitalo 13 is located in the centre of Tampere, right next to Hotel Tammer, the main fire station and Koskipuisto park. The building is located at Pellavatehtaankatu 4.

1st floor - gallery

On the first floor you will find the building's janitor services. In the lobby you will also find the Gallery Vivi, which is open from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 8 pm and is free of charge. Find out more about the exhibitions in Gallery Vivi.

2nd floor - hobbies and other activities

On the second floor of Monitoimitalo 13, you can dive into the world of music and media. In hobby groups, you can learn how to write rap lyrics, sing, play music and take photos. On the second floor you will also find a studio where you can record a quality demo at an affordable price. On the second floor, you will find the Pajasto music and media workshop and av-workshop during the day.

3rd floor - make art

The 3rd floor of Monitoimitalo 13 is dedicated to crafts and visual arts. There are four different spaces on this floor.

Handicrafts is a place where you can decide what you want to make and be inspired by a huge variety of materials. You'll have a wide range of tools at your disposal and skilled instructors are always on hand to help. In the accepting and relaxed atmosphere of Monitoimitalo 13, it's easy to let your creativity run wild. Crafts and art are tools for self-expression, and we want to respect everyone's individual way of being creative.

The craft activities are aimed at young people aged 9-29. Activities are free of charge for guidance and use of equipment, materials are charged on a pay-as-you-go basis and prices are very affordable. There are also free activities and you can use your own materials if you wish.

Floor 4 - rent facilities

On the 4th floor, you can, among other things, rent spaces for meetings and leisure activities. There are also rooms available for rent on the other floors. Each room is equipped with modern facilities and can be equipped with a wide range of equipment as required.

In addition to the space and equipment, you will find sound and lighting technicians at the Monitoimitaloc 13, whose expertise you can call on to make sure your event is a success. Please note that the need for technical staff must be specified at the time of booking. A separate fee will be charged for this work.

The Wivi Lönn hall on the 4th floor is also the home of the Tampere Youth Theatre and dance groups. The hall is also used by other cultural centre youth groups.

5th floor

The fifth floor of the building is home to the Pajasto arts and crafts workshops.
