Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra
Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra is a top-level symphony orchestra with 97 musicians, conducted by Matthew Halls. The orchestra is based at Tampere Hall, where it performs symphony concerts as well as chamber music, opera, ballet, entertainment, and children's concerts.
Tampere Biennale
The wonders of new music for new audiences on 15-19 April 2026! The theme of the 2026 anniversary year, Roots, highlights the voices of composers living in Finland, the diversity of contemporary music, and the ability of art to reflect the state of the world. The festival is held every other April.
Tampere Jazz Happening
New concert music, rock, and ethnic music on the development of contemporary jazz on 29 October - 1 November 2026. The programme will be published in September. Tampere Jazz Happening is held annually at the turn of October and November.
Tampere Vocal
Tampere Vocal boldly and openly presents a wide range of choral and ensemble music styles in its concerts, weaving together vocal diversity and value-based themes. The festival features choral music and vocal ensembles from Finland and abroad. The festival is held every other year in June, next time on 16-20 June 2027.
Tampere Summer Park Concerts
Summer Park Concerts are free outdoor concerts are held in various locations around the city, such as Laikunlava outdoor stage, Hiedanranta, Haihara Art Center and allotment gardens. The diverse program allows you to enjoy live music, singing, and dancing.
Walk of Fame Finland
Walk of Fame Finland is a street that honors music, artists, and music creators, following in the footsteps of Hollywood. It is being built on Åkerlundinkatu in the Tulli area. Every year, 3-8 new star recipients are announced, which the public can nominate in the spring.
