A pay subsidy is an economic benefit that the TE Office or local government pilot may grant an employer to cover the costs of hiring an unemployed job seeker and the time spent for guiding the new employee.

For you, the pay subsidy provides an opportunity to find a job for which your education is not completely sufficient or to find a job even if you suffer from a disability or an illness that affects the performance of your duties at work. The employer may receive a pay subsidy only for hiring a person who has registered with the TE Services as an unemployed job seeker.

Recruitment benefit is granted to employers who employ Tampere citizen, who is an unemployed job seeker. The benefit is intended for covering the recruitment, work space, work uniform, briefing and guidance costs related to employing a new worker, but not for covering salary expenses. Recruitment benefit is granted according to an allowance. The recruitment benefit of 600 €/month/employee is paid for a maximum of six months.

In addition to the recruitment benefit, companies can apply for a one-time payment of a recruitment compensation of 1800 euros, if the employment relationship lasts for a minimum of one year and a minimum of 85% of full-time working hours.
