Organise an event - Monitoimitalo 13

In Youth Services, we help groups of young people to organise their own events. The steps involved in organising an event can be, for example:

1. The idea of the event
What is your idea, what kind of space does it need? What is the programme for the event? For whom? What? When? Where? Why?

2. Contact us
Contact cultural producer Milka Uusitalo (contact details below). Let's see together who can work with you to make your event idea a reality.

3. Let's meet and make an action plan
We will go through the idea from start to finish, including the points required by the event/project plan: name, venue, target group, objectives, resources, content, implementation, budget, schedule, organisation, information, security and risks.

4. Implement the event

5. After the event
After the event, we discuss together how successful the event was and where there is room for improvement. A report of the event will be made if it is required.

Ask for help

Do you have an idea for an event or activity, but don't know how and where to start? Need help organising your event? You can get the support of a youth worker for the whole process if needed! You can get help with applying for funding, guidance on the paperwork and any problems of organising an event. Youth Services can also provide the technology and facilities you need to organise and run your events.

If an association, operator or other actor is interested in collaborating with the Youth Services on an event, the organiser can contact Anniina Kettula, Cultural Youth Work Coordinator at the Youth Services. If, on the other hand, an association or operator wishes to organise an event independently on the premises of the Youth Service, details of the premises available for reservation can be found on the Reservation Service and information on the city's grants can be found on the Grants and subsidies page.

Do you have an idea but no money? Youth services also provide financial support to youth groups and youth organisations.

Masseista Mahiksia

The "Masseista Mahiksia" grant supports activities for children and young people in Tampere that they have thought up themselves. The grant is distributed using participatory budgeting methods. A total of €50 000 will be allocated to activities that children and young people can carry out on their own initiative. The grants will be awarded in two different calls, one for the Massigaala and one for the continuous call.
