Hervanta swimming pool
Hervanta swimming pool, which was completed in 1978, is located nearly 30 metres below the ground level. It was renovated in 2019 - 2021. The swimming pool has one pool of 25-metres with six lanes and a children's pool.
The swimming pool has a gym, which was upgraded at the time of the renovation. Customers who pay the fee for using the swimming pool can also use the gym. The age limit in Tampere city gyms is 15 years.
The access control system of the pool was replaced in connection with the renovation, and the wristband opens and closes the lockers with modern smart locks. Similar systems are also used in Pyynikki swimming pool and Tampere Swimming Centre and outdoor pool.
What do I need to know about using the swimming pool?

Hervanta swimming pool, located underground, has one six-lane 25-meter pool and a children's pool. In addition, there is a gym in the swimming pool.
Entry ends and cashier services close 1 hour 15 minutes before closing time, and you must leave the pool area 30 minutes before closing time. Access to the pool area is only via stairs.
Note! In the swimming pool, school children swim during semesters on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 am to 1 pm, when the children's pool is fully used by school children. You should inquire about more detailed schedules and free times from the sports instructors before entering the swimming hall by calling 040 752 9610.
- Women's swimming on Mondays from 8 January to 6 May from 6.30 pm to 9 pm. Entrance from 6.30 pm to 7 pm, age limit 17 years. During this period, the swimming pool's general shift ends on Mondays at 5 pm (admission ends at 3.45 pm) and from 13 May at 9 pm.
- Note! The swimming pool elevators will be under renovation from 19 February until May 2024. One elevator is for customer use during the repairs. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
