Temporary Early Childhood Education and Care

Temporary early childhood education and care is intended for families who do not need regular childcare services. A child may attend temporary care for a maximum of five (5) days per calendar month. The price of the service is €20 per day per child. Using temporary childcare does not affect eligibility for the home care allowance.

Any municipal daycare centre can provide temporary early childhood education and care, provided they have available capacity. As this service is meant to be occasional and short-term, it cannot be reserved for several consecutive months in advance.
