How do I register as an unemployed jobseeker?

If you become unemployed, log in to the Job Market Finland's E-services and register as a jobseeker. In the Job Market Finland you can create a job search profile and search for vacancies. The Job Market Finland offers guidance how to find a job, as well as information and services related to working life. You can search for jobs from your own or other municipalities' regional websites.

If you need employment services for the first time, you can submit a contact request via the Job Market Finland's E-services. If you do not have an online banking ID, mobile authentication or chip ID card, please register as a jobseeker using the paper form. You can also contact the employment services in your municipality by phone.

Employment Service Specialist to support job search

As a customer of the Tampere Region Employment Area, you will get service that supports your employment. An Employment Service Specialist assesses your situation and plans together with you a personalised pathway to work, training or other services to meet your goals. The Employment Service Specialist supports you with employment-related official matters, guides you to relevant services, and monitors your progress. 

Starting a job search for non-EU/EEA nationals

If you are a citizen of an EU or EEA country or Switzerland and you have online banking codes, a mobile certificate, or a smart ID card, it is recommended that you start your job search via E-Services at Job Market Finland. If you are not a citizen of an EU/EEA country or Switzerland, start your job search in person at the employment services in your home municipality.
