International House Tampere Employment services
We are responsible for statutory employment promotion services. We provide guidance and counselling related to employment, education and integration.
Our customers are international residents living in Tampere who are in the early stages of their integration process. In addition, we serve jobseekers in the Tampere region employment area who are in their integration period, as well as working-age individuals who are currently outside the labour force.
Each customer's service needs are assessed individually.

Registering as a job seeker
In the Job Market Finland E‑services, job seeking can only be initiated by citizens of Finland and EU/EEA countries.
If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA or Switzerland and you have Finnish online banking credentials, you can start your job search online using the form:

Tampere Region Employment Area
The City of Tampere organizes and provides the statutory tasks of the employment authority within the Tampere Region Employment Area. As of January 1, 2025, public employment and economic development services were transferred to the employment areas.
The Tampere Region Employment Area consists of 16 municipalities: Akaa, Juupajoki, Kangasala, Kuhmoinen, Lempäälä, Nokia, Orivesi, Pirkkala, Pälkäne, Ruovesi, Tampere, Urjala, Valkeakoski, Vesilahti, Virrat, and Ylöjärvi. The municipalities of Western Pirkanmaa belong to the Western Pirkanmaa Employment Area, and Mänttä-Vilppula is part of the Southern Central Finland Employment Area.
