How to apply for and use a parking permit?

How to apply for a parking permit as a resident, company, or employee:

• Register in the eParking system at eparking.fi. Registration and use of the system are free of charge for users.
• Applicants for a company or commuter parking permit must register using their work email address.
• You can obtain a parking permit immediately upon registration if your home address is correctly listed in the Population Information System.
• For companies and employees, the fulfillment of the permit conditions will be verified, so processing may take 1–5 business days.
• After registering, apply for the parking permit via the eParking system. The permit becomes valid as soon as the payment is completed.
• Permits are issued and monitored electronically.
• You can also register and purchase a parking permit in person at Frenckell Service Point (City Environment Customer Service).

Remember:

• Only one vehicle may be parked at a time under one parking permit.
• The license plate number of the parked vehicle must be activated in the eParking system.
• No physical permit (e.g., sticker or paper slip) is needed in the vehicle.
• If multiple license plates are linked to one permit, activation must be done for the specific vehicle being parked. Activation can be completed in the eParking system, or through the mobile app available on the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).
• If any of your permit-related information changes, you must update the details immediately either at eparking.fi or at a Tampere service point.
• The parking permit becomes invalid immediately if any of the eligibility criteria are no longer met.
