If the other services that promote employment are not actual to you, the path to employment and education can also pass by rehabilitative work activities.

A joint multidisciplinary service to promote employment may be the right service for you if many matters stand in the way of your employment and if you need help from several interlocking services to support your employment. Referral to the service is via the OMA coach.

The Joint Services Promoting Employment (Työllistymistä edistävä monialainen yhteispalvelu, TYP) are an action model shared by employment services, City social and health services, and Kela that serves job-seekers who have been unemployed for a longer period of time. The TYP service charts out the individual barriers and prerequisites of your employment. A multidisciplinary employment plan is drafted with you. It may include e.g. public employment, social and healthcare, and rehabilitation services.

Work ability service

The work ability service charts your ability to work and the services suited to support your employment. The objective is to help you to return to working life.

The work ability service is meant for those customers of the Joint Services Promoting Employment (TYP) who reside in Tampere and are involved in the local government pilot on employment. Referral to the service is via the OMA coach.

TOIKE – Support for planning a return to work and staying in working life for employment-aged Tampere and Orivesi residents

If you need support for planning your return to work or for staying in working life, you may get in touch with the Functional Capabilities Centre (Toimintakykykeskus, TOIKE) too.

The TOIKE service is available for all partially disabled Tampere and Orivesi residents. No referral is needed so you can contact the employees of the Centre by yourself. A professional such as an OMA coach can, if needed, refer a customer to the TOIKE service.

Work ability coordinator of the Employment and Growth Services

The work ability coordinator helps you if you need support in your orientation to working life, looks for services suited to your situation, refers you to them in case of need, and works in close cooperation with the various networks of the region. It is possible to get help for employment-related matters too in connection with an agreed appointment.

You are eligible for a free health check if you are an unemployed job-seeker or are repeatedly in short-term employment relationships. The purpose of the health checks is to promote your health, your well-being, your ability to work, and your functional capabilities. You can make an appointment electronically or by phone.

Tampere One-Stop Guidance Center provides information, support and guidance on employment, training and management of daily life for all persons under 30 years of age. You are welcome to the One-Stop Guidance Centers just as you are, in any situation! Tampere One-Stop Guidance Center houses several services and professionals under one roof who help you move forward.

The REACTORI – Digital inclusion and participation at Digi project organises free coaching in basic digital skills and in the digital skills needed in working life as well as in the IT field.

The objective is to improve the digital participation of people in working age, the digital working-life skills of job-seekers, to create pathways for people suited to study IT or to work in the IT field, and to build a third-sector digital service tray.

The Sports counselling gives you guidance and tips for starting sports in accordance with your individual needs, motivation, and initial situation.

The objective is to find ways to promote your well-being. The Sports counselling also gives information about possibilities for sport and about guidance groups. Sports counselling is free of charge.

You can join in by getting in touch with your OMA coach. Sports counselling is provided in the Tullintori point of service of the Tampere Employment and Growth Services, Tullintori 3, 3rd floor, 33100 Tampere.

International Tampere Skills Centre OSKE

International Tampere Skills Centre (also known as OSKE) provides multibranch services for all the non-Finnish speaking job seekers living in Tampere and immigrants living in the Pirkanmaa region, who are still on their integration period. International Skills Centre provides personal guidance regarding education and job seeking.

Multilingual info Mainio

At the Multilingual info Mainio, you can ask anything about living, working and studying in Tampere region in 14 different languages. Mainio’s advisors can help in different topics of everyday life.

Pension investigations for the long-term unemployed are aimed at Tampere and Orivesi residents who have been unemployed for a long time and have difficulties to cope in working life due to health issues and limitations in their functional capabilities. The pension investigations can be accessed via healthcare, social, and employment services.

As an Employment and Growth Services customer, you may be eligible for a Kaikukortti card. With the Kaikukortti card you can get free tickets for example to festivals, museums, theatre performances, festivals, or concerts. The card is personal and free. Ask your OMA coach for it.
