The eVaka Tampere online service
eVaka Tampere is an online service and customer information system for early childhood education and pre-school education in the City of Tampere.
Through the eVaka Tampere online service, as a caregiver, you can.
- apply for a spot in early childhood education for your child
- enroll your child in pre-primary education and supplemental early childhood education
- accept a spot for your child in early childhood education and care or preschool
- report your income to the customer contribution unit or agree to the highest customer contribution
- report your child’s attendance, illness, and other absences
- specify the child’s vacation periods
- apply for a change in your early childhood education and care needs
- communicate with early childhood education and care staff
- participate in the preparation of the child’s early childhood education and care plan
- view the child’s work in early childhood education and care and preschool
- review the pedagogical documents related to preschool education
- terminate a child’s enrollment in early childhood education and care or in a club
- schedule an interview regarding the early childhood education and learning plan
- agree to the photographing of the child and their work, as well as to the publication of such images
Instructions
Creating user IDs
The first time you create a username for yourself using strong authentication (bank or mobile credentials). In the future, you can use these credentials to manage your daily tasks. Some eVaka services require strong authentication.
Mobile access
The eVaka system works on mobile devices and computers, adapting automatically to different screen sizes. You can save the browser view to the home menu or home screen of your mobile device. eVaka does not have a separate mobile application.
Email notifications:
To receive email notifications of messages, decisions and documents sent via eVaka, save your email address in eVaca: Settings - My details
If you wish to receive e-mail notifications for your documents, you must set up your personal settings in the eVaka
It is possible for a carer to receive electronic notification of decisions made in eVaka (decisions on early childhood education and care, service vouchers, pre-school education, and customer fees) in Suomi.fi messages. This requires the implementation of the Suomi.fi messaging service.

Development of eVaka
The development of eVaka started in Espoo and Tampere joined the development in spring 2020. Since the beginning of 2022, the system has been developed in cooperation with Espoo, Tampere, Turku and Oulu. Currently, the eVaka system is in use in Espoo, Tampere, Turku, Oulu and the municipalities surrounding Tampere (Nokia, Ylöjärvi, Kangasala, Pirkkala, Lempäälä, Vesilahti, Orivesi and Hämeenkyrö).
User feedback
The eVaka system will be developed on the basis of user feedback. Feedback is collected regularly through various surveys and you can also give it through the city's feedback channel
