Tampere International Music Award, presented at the Music x Media Industry Awards gala, has been given to Fruzsina Szép.

Tampere Music Award, now Tampere International Music Award, has been presented since 2010, and it recognizes top experts of the music industry, the people who have contributed to the creative ecosystem of music and built bridges between the Finnish and international music markets. The award is presented by the City of Tampere as part of the Music x Media Industry Awards gala.

This year, the award is presented to Fruzsina Szép.

Fruzsina Szép is the managing & festival director for SUPERBLOOM, at the historic Olympic Park and Olympic Stadium in Munich. In 2024 she stepped back again into the role of the festival director for Lollapalooza Berlin. Fruzsina also co-founded the ‘TAKE A STAND’ movement within the music industry, encouraging social cohesion in our society, promoting awareness and tolerance for all cultures, genders, races, colours and religions.

She was selected as a recipient of the Tampere International Music Award for her long-standing contribution to the European music and festival industry.

Throughout her career, she has played an important role in developing some of Europe’s leading festivals, while supporting international collaboration, new talent and the development of the live music sector. Her work across countries, organisations and networks reflects the international spirit of the award and has had a lasting impact on the European music industry.

The award was presented at the Industry Awards gala on October 2nd, 2026, in Tampere, as part of the Music x Media professional event. At the event, the City of Tampere and Music x Media also jointly awarded the LUO(V)UUS award to Diivavälitys.
