The services of the International House Tampere Employment services

• Employment Service Specialist provides personal service to clients in job seeking, integration training, and education. They direct clients to suitable services, create integration or employment plans, and provide statements on unemployment benefits.

• Integration processes are part of the service: evaluation of service needs and initial assessment, decision making processes and redirection to relevant employment and educational services.

• The Employment Service Specialist discussed the client's need for education, and if necessary, guides them to competence mapping. Employment Service Specialist may also guide the client to the services of Pirkanmaan hyvinvointialue, the joint municipal authority for social and health services in Tampere Region or other support services.

• After the integration period, the Employment Service Specialist from the client's municipality of residence will be responsible for their services, such as employment and activation plans, and guidance towards services supporting employment and education.

The employment authority advises and guides you in job searching and offers other services that help you integrate and find employment. Such services may include integration training and multilingual social orientation, where you receive information about Finnish society.

On-site Finnish language support at workplaces

The HYVÄ TYÖ project, a joint initiative by the Employment and Growth Services of the City of Tampere and Tampere Adult Education Centre (TAKK), offers language support and training for employers and new employees.

The goal is to facilitate and expedite the orientation phase:

• Finnish language support for new employees 
• Work community training in plain language

International House Tampere also serves those who are not currently seeking employment. We offer guidance, support, and integration services.

• Are you 18–64 years old and have lived in Finland for less than three years? 
• Did you receive your residence permit less than three years ago? 
• Are you at home taking care of children? 
• Has illness prevented you from working or studying? 
• Do you want to learn Finnish? 
• Do you want to learn about Finnish society? 
• Are you interested in integration training? 

We serve you through an interpreter. Interpretation is arranged either in your native language or another language you understand well.
