The Viinikanlahti area on the Lake Pyhäjärvi waterfront will undergo a complete transformation over the coming years. Following the relocation of the Viinikanlahti wastewater treatment plant to Sulkavuori, the vacated area is being developed into a new lakefront district for around 3,000 residents. The new district will be implemented in phases over a span of approximately ten years.
