Tampere’s residents make the city what it is. The City of Tampere supports activities that makes it a more pleasant and community-oriented town.

The City of Tampere annually issues grants that together total approx. EUR 26 million for operations.

Funding may be granted for regular association activities as well as for organizing individual events or projects. The city also awards personal grants for artistic work.

The Act on the Openness of Government Activities, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Act on Information Management in Public Administration, the Archives Act and the Local Government Act (section 90) are key guidelines for data protection and information management in awarding grants.
