We are collecting ideas and wishes from Tampere residents at the Residents' Evenings and through enquiries. This will ensure that the new model meets the needs of the citizens and reinforces the distinctiveness of the neighbourhoods.

Free open art workshops every week at the newly renovated Hervanta Leisure Centre starting 23.3.! No prior experience of arts is needed; neither does it hurt. Much collective fun!
The program is hosted by artists of Tampere Intercultural Art (TIcAS).

These three workshops introduce techniques inspired by newer forms of creative writing. Stories and poems are created in a guided process, awakening each ones own creativity, observing the environment and exploring fascinating everyday life in a conversational atmosphere.

Guided photography tours around the area, learning about street photography, getting inspired by the complex textures of nature and learning ways to create experimental photography. In case of bad weather, the workshop will be held indoors. Participants can use any type of camera: smartphone, digital camera, film camera or SLR camera.

The first episode of a new neighborhood podcast series is now live!
Koti Tampereella – Hervanta podcast gives voice to local entrepreneurs, artists, community organizers, seniors, and even children. This community podcast captures both the spirit of the times and local history, highlighting authentic everyday stories and the diverse identity of the area.
In the first episode, we meet Sujitha Ravi, an Indian-born visual artist and dancer. Sujithas interview is in English.
