Youth festival Haifest invites young people to enjoy a free festival evening at Haihara.

The free Haifest festival, aimed at young people, will take place on Saturday 3 October 2026 from 5 pm to 10 pm in the grounds of the Haihara Art Centre in Kaukajärvi. Now in its third year, the event aims to offer young people aged 13–29 experiences, a sense of belonging, a chance to socialise and meaningful leisure activities in a safe environment.

The evening’s programme offers a wide range of things to do and experience. At the event, you can take part in DJ and rap-lyric workshops, try your hand at jewellery-making and street art, play arcade games and meet some alpacas. The programme also includes a fun duck rodeo, a chance to hang out, music, and free pizza and hot chocolate.

The rap lyrics and DJ workshops are run by the Tampere Rap Academy. The rap lyrics workshop is led by long-standing Tampere-based rap musicians Are (Pyry Jaala) and 6mäki (Veikko Kuusimäki), who will encourage young people to explore the world of lyric-writing and self-expression. The DJ workshop will be led by industry veteran and highly regarded DJ Massimo (Tero Virtanen).

The event’s line-up features young, up-and-coming names in rap: Kupari + Havia / TRA Support / King Yare / Luka Kallio. The evening will be rounded off by Nelikasi and E-E Meino, known for their energetic live performances.

All event venues are free of charge. Haihara’s Coffee Chamber will provide normal service throughout the event.

Haifest 2026 is organised in collaboration with the Pirkanmaa FinFam Huppuproject, the City of Tampere’s Public Cultural Services (the Haihara Art Centre), the Annala Youth Centre, the Deaconess Institute’s Vamos programme, and the Messukylä parish.
