The Children’s Gallery’s autumn season opened with the exhibition Pinecones

The Children’s Gallery’s autumn season opened with an exhibition of some funny pinecone figures! At the art workshop at the Children’s Cultural Centre Rulla a collection of miniature sculptures made from materials related to recycling and natural materials was created.

The sculptures in the Pinecones exhibition at the Children’s Gallery were created at Rulla’s art workshop using pinecones, sticks, twigs and colourful feathers. Recycling and natural materials are constantly used in Rulla’s activities and are closely linked to the Green Flag certificate, in which Rulla has been participating for five years now. Rulla’s approach to art and cultural education emphasises children’s own artistic agency and perspectives. 

The ‘Pinecones’ exhibition is open at the Culture House Laikku's Corridor Gallery (2nd floor) from 2 September to 1 November 2026 during Laikku’s opening hours.

Children's Gallery is an art concept developed by the Children's Cultural Centre Rulla and cultural education program Art Arc (Taidekaari), where art of children is highlighted in Tampere cityscape.
