The Children's Gallery's Spring opens with the Spring Rulla!

A painting has grown on the Culture House LAikku's Corridor Gallery's wall. No, a sculpture. Or is it both? The three-dimensional work is composed of parts of collective works created over the years at the Children's Cultural Centre Rulla. Exhibition includes parts from the Paint the World! exhibition, leftover materials from the art room, and the recently organized Talvirieha community painting workshop.

All of the materials used in the work could have ended up in the trash. Now, together, they have taken on a new form, after which they will continue their lives as materials for new stories. The work uses materials such as painting felt and disposable tablecloths. The colors used are ecological gouache paints, watercolors, beetroot, spirulina, saffron, and food coloring.

Rulla has been participating in the Green Flag environmental education program for four years. Recycling and sustainability are cornerstones of Rulla's activities:
we actively recycle materials in both exhibitions and art workshops, and we also design art workshop programs with a strong focus on materials.

Spring Rulla exhibition is open during Laikku's openin hours.

Free entry, welcome!

The Children's and Youth’s Gallery is an art concept developed by Children's Cultural Centre Rulla and cultural education program Art Arc, where art of children and youth is highlighted in Tampere cityscape.
