General grants for festivals and large public events open until 28 November

The City of Tampere general grants for organisers of established festivals and cultural events are available until 28 November 2025.

The 2026 general grants may be awarded for the organization of festivals and other large cultural events held in Tampere. Events lasting 2–10 days are considered festivals. One-day cultural events may also be eligible for grant if they are of particular significance in their field of art. The festival or event must have been organised at least twice, and the organiser must have the potential and ability to develop it further. The grant is intended for professionally organised festivals and events with high quality cultural content and which are significant in their field.

The general grant may be awarded to non-profit organizations that have been operating for at least one calendar year prior to applying for the grant and that are registered or have verifiably submitted their registration application. The organization's operating expenses must be verifiable from its accounting records

The evaluation criteria and the electronic application form are available on the city's website www.tampere.fi/en/grants. On the same site, you will also find instructions on the separate attachments to be submitted with the application.

When applying, the applicant organization must submit a separate action plan and budget for 2026, as well as the association/cooperative's rules or the company's articles of association as separate attachments. New applicants must also report on the content of the previous year's event and submit the association's latest signed financial statements and annual report, as well as the auditor's statement. If the community's activities are wide-ranging, its documents must clearly show the content of the cultural activities to be supported and an estimate of the costs and other funding involved.

Grants are awarded by the City of Tampere Culture and Leisure Committee. Applications must be submitted by 15.45 on 28 November 2025. Late applications will not be considered.
