Project grants for youth activities

Associations, communities and working groups can apply for the grant.

• to carry out or participate in a project, activity or event
• camp activities

Organisations receiving a grant from the City of Tampere are encouraged to use the Tampere.Finland logo in their own communications, for example on websites, brochures and advertisements.

• activities related to the basic activities of the association and supported, as a rule, by a general grant
• activities which are profit-making or whose main purpose is fund-raising
• for practicing religion or spreading religious message
• investments and the acquisition or improvement of immovable or movable property
• catering, recordings or publications
• youth activities organised by the school or educational establishment (e.g. student councils and subject associations) and the activities of other operators during the school day
• youth activities of a taxable body
• to businesses nor to private individuals

The application period for project grants is continuous. The application form for grants from the Youth Services is the main online application form.

The one-off grant is decided by the Director of Youth Services. The applicant will be informed of the decision by e-mail. The grant may only be used for the purpose stated in the decision.

The grant will be paid against an ex-post statement of expenditure. The statement of expenditure must be submitted no later than one month after the activity has been carried out. 

If the amount to be paid exceeds EUR 500, receipts must be attached to the statement of assessment form. If the amount of the grant is less than this, the beneficiary must keep the receipts for a period of one year from the date of payment of the grant for possible spot checks. Certified copies of receipts are acceptable as supporting documents. 

If the project grant has been used to pay wages or salaries, the payment receipts must be able to show that the applicant has paid the employer's expenses in addition to the wages or salaries.
