Evening use of schools and early childhood education and care centres

Käsi pitää koripalloa ilmassa korin alla.

Most evening use of schools and early childhood education and care centres will transition to self-supervision starting 10 August 2026. Users will bear greater responsibility than before for the proper use and safety of the facilities. Practical arrangements related to self-supervision, such as key handover and signing agreements, will be centralized through the Sports Services.

For each usage session, an adult must be designated as the person in charge, who will be responsible for, among other things, the keys, keeping the facilities clean, and ensuring that the building is left in proper condition after the session. Any defects, damage, or broken equipment must be reported immediately to the Coordinator patrolling the area.

Important information for users of self-supervision systems

All users must report visitor numbers

All users of sports facilities must report evening usage. Visitor numbers for self-supervision schools must be reported separately for each practice session using the Microsoft Forms. The link to the form and the QR code can be found on the school premises. The forms are school-specific. Anyone on duty during a session can fill out the form.

The data collected is extremely important to the city for the evaluation of the program’s effectiveness. This monitoring demonstrates the significant role the city’s facilities play in enabling and supporting recreational sports activities.
