Kalkunvuori Daycare and School Building houses two home areas: the Naavanutut for the youngest children and the Haltijat for children aged 3 to 5. In addition, the daycare includes an integrated group called Menninkäiset. The building also hosts pre-primary and early primary education in the Nestorit home area. On the lower floor, there are club facilities used for open early childhood education activities.
Kalkunvuori Daycare and School is located in western Tampere, near Mustavuori, surrounded by culturally and historically significant wartime trenches. Since 2016, we have participated in the “Adopt a Monument” program.
Our activities are based on communal, participatory, and hands-on learning. One of our strengths is our diverse learning and activity environment, with a special emphasis on nearby nature.
