The opening hours of Vuores Library will change for the summer. The changes in June and July are due to the library’s operations being linked to the school and the presence of school staff.
Summer opening hours at Vuores Library
- 1–30 June
The library is open daily (Mon–Sun) from 9:00 to 15:00 for self-service use. - 1–31 July
The library is closed. The book return box will also be out of use during this period. - 1–31 August
The library is open for self-service use:
Mon–Thu: 14:00–21:00
Fri: 14:00–18:00
Sat–Sun: 10:00–15:00
Materials borrowed from Vuores Library before the summer closure will have their due dates automatically extended to August. Items can be returned to any PIKI library.
Vuores Library is a self-service library, which means that customers must register as self-service users to access the premises.
Impact of the closure on reservations
- Vuores Library cannot be selected as a pickup location for new reservations starting 8 June.
- The pickup location for existing reservations will automatically change to Hervanta Library starting 15 June. Customers can also change the pickup location to another PIKI library via the PIKI Online Library or at customer service.
- After the summer closure, the pickup location will not automatically change back to Vuores Library. Customers need to update the pickup location themselves via the PIKI Online Library or at customer service.
