Come design the skateboard and BMX area in Heinurinmäki
Heinurinmäki is located in the residential area of Hervantajärvi, south of Ruskontie. The area is being developed with the aim of making it a versatile area for sports and recreational facilities. Residents will be able to participate in the design of the Heinurinmäki skateboard and BMX areas.
Heinurinmäki is located between the residential areas of Hervantajärvi and Lintuhytti. The map outlines the access routes to the area.
There used to be an old Rusko soil reception site in Heinurinmäki. The general plan for the area was approved by the City of Tampere’s Urban Environment Committee in 2021 and includes playing fields, an outdoor gym, a skate park and a BMX bike track. The ball field was built in 2025, and the outdoor gym will be built in autumn 2026. The skate park and BMX track are currently being designed, and residents' views are being sought to support the design.
Workshop for residents and enthusiasts of the sports
A workshop on the further planning of Heinurinmäki will be held on 1 June 2026 at 17.00 in Presentation Space Siluetti, at Hatanpään valtatie 7. Doors open at 16.30.
The workshop will present the starting points and preliminary sketches of the skateboard and BMX area, followed by a joint brainstorming session. The aim is to complete Tampere's skateboarding network and to have a pump track built at Heinurinmäki. The skateboard and BMX area are surrounded by landscaping and slopes, which will be used in the design of the area.
