For children and families, the programme includes clown adventures, puppet theatre, and collaborative art-making. Young people can take part in marker and spray-paint workshops, as well as enjoy performances by local youth artists King Yare and Kupari.
Adults can relax and refresh themselves with movement and dance sessions set in the beautiful manor surroundings, along with previews of Theatre Lysti’s summer theatre production. Throughout the day, there will also be a wide range of participatory workshops and other communal activities, such as planting in the herb garden.
The event also offers a wide selection of treats, from traditional Finnish pancakes to Mexican tacos. In addition, the Kahvikamari café will be open throughout the event, and exhibitions in the Stable and the Granary will be accessible to visitors.
Haihara Awakens! is organised by the City of Tampere Public Cultural Services in collaboration with several local partners.
