Library opening hours for Easter 2026
Easter will affect library opening hours from 2 April to 6 April, 2026.
Maundy Thursday, 2 April
- On Maundy Thursday, libraries will close no later than 5:00 p.m. or at their normal closing time, whichever comes first.
- Mobile libraries will stop running at 4 p.m.
- Self-service libraries will follow their normal self-service hours. The Vuores Library will be closed.
Good Friday, 3 April
- On Good Friday, libraries will be closed, with the exception of self-service libraries.
- Mobile libraries will not be in service.
- Self-service libraries will follow their normal self-service hours. The Vuores Library will be closed.
Saturday, 4 April
- On Saturday, libraries will be open according to their normal hours.
- Mobile libraries will not be in service.
- Self-service libraries are open during their normal self-service hours.
Easter Sunday, 5 April
- On Easter Sunday, libraries will be closed, with the exception of self-service libraries.
- Mobile libraries will not be in service.
- Self-service libraries will follow their normal self-service hours. The Lielahti and Vuores libraries will be closed.
Easter Monday, 6 April
- On Easter Monday, all libraries will be closed except for self-service libraries.
- Mobile libraries will not be in service.
- Self-service libraries are open during their normal self-service hours. The Vuores Library is closed.
During self-service hours, the library doors open with a library card and its PIN code. There are no staff members in the library, but library services can be used independently. Self-service libraries can only be used during self-service hours if you are registered as a self-service library user.
