Give your feedback on winter maintenance
How were streets, cycle paths and pavements cleared and sanded this winter? And did the streets in your neighbourhood remain safe to move around? Springtime grit removal is also an important part of winter maintenance, and people are often interested in how well it is carried out. In the annual winter maintenance survey, you can evaluate the winter upkeep of your area and share concrete observations
– We hope to hear from as many Tampere residents as possible. Weather conditions change quickly, and the feedback gives us valuable information about how well our actions meet everyday needs, comments Lassi Jokinen, maintenance engineer.
How to give feedback
Give a score of 0-5 for the quality of the paths and the time it takes to get them back to passable condition. In the survey, you can also provide open feedback and describe what aspects need the most improvement. The responses help us create the most accurate possible picture of how this winter’s varying conditions have been experienced in different parts of the city.
The survey is also available in English. You can also enter a gift card draw by filling in a separate form at the end of the survey.
Feedback helps improve winter maintenance
Winter maintenance is one of the most visible municipal services, and its success affects the daily lives of all Tampere residents. Winter maintenance is continuously developed based on feedback to make winter mobility safer and smoother in the future.
According to the results of the winter maintenance survey conducted in spring 2025, resident satisfaction was at its highest level in five years. Respondents were most satisfied with the quality of winter maintenance on main streets. A total of 825 responses were received.
– Based on last year’s responses, we have especially focused on improving the quality of snow plowing and ensuring timely anti-slip treatment. We want to continue this development work, and for that we need information directly from residents, say construction manager Petri Kujala and works manager Jussi Pesonen from Tampereen Infra.
