Spring online exercise classes start on 15 January
Online exercise classes are broadcast live every Thursday at 12 noon from the Youth Culture Centre, Monitoimitalo 13. January online exercise class themes:
- 15 January: Circuit training. You will need dumbbells or half-liter water bottles for this workout. For some of the exercises, you can also use a kettlebell, if you have one. The circuit training includes easy and effective exercises that can also be done on the floor. The workout lasts about 40 minutes.
- 22 January: Body maintenance. The program includes active mobility exercises that maintain the body and exercises that strengthen the supporting muscles. The workout lasts about 45 minutes.
- 29 January: Foot exercises, barefoot. Foot health is the foundation of good functional capacity. Our entire posture and stance are built on our feet. The exercises improve blood circulation in the lower limbs, body balance, and control of the upright position. The exercise lasts 30 minutes.
Chair exercises in January
Chair exercises are broadcast live every Thursday at 1 pm. Recordings of these exercises can also be found on the Liikkuva Tampere YouTube channel, so you can do them according to your own schedule. Chair exercises last 30 minutes. January themes:
- 15 January: Chair exercise and balance. We will exercise while sitting on chairs to the beat of rhythmic music, strengthen our balance with a few easy standing exercises, and finish with some stretching to loosen up our bodies.
- 22 January: Chair circuit training. We will use dumbbells or half-liter water bottles in the circuit training. We will do easy muscle-strengthening exercises while sitting on chairs.
- 29 January: The theme of the chair exercise is back health. The program includes twists, stretches, and bends, as well as movements to strengthen the supporting muscles.
