The charming Haihara Christmas is back again

The hugely popular Haihara Christmas is back again! We invite everyone to come and enjoy the Christmas spirit on Sunday, December 14, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the Art Centre.
A crowd of people watching a fire show in a snowy landscape. In the foreground, a woman in an elf costume looks at the camera.
Last year, the fire show was watched by huge crowds.

A varied programme

The manor house will feature pop-up cafés run by Haihara's Kahvikamari and Pakolaisnuorten tuki ry, selling delicious rice porridge, mulled wine, tarts, and other baked goods. The hall will feature an exhibition of the multi-art workshop series organized for seniors in Haihara in the fall, as well as a light art installation by lighting designer Jussi Kamunen. The Dominutz choir will enchant visitors with Christmas carols in front of the manor at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. FlowingLinda's magical fire show will be performed in front of the manor at 4 p.m. The Christmas trail organized by the Messukylä parish starts at the edge of the park and circles the manor.

In the warmth of the barn, you can enjoy Christmas stories told by Mrs. Claus and buy Christmas products from the Kaukajärvi Martat.

Alpacas will delight visitors from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The magnificent installations created in community light art workshops will be on display as part of the event in Valjasvaja and Kahvikamari. The stalls will be filled with Christmas spirit, decorations, and community art. Delicious sausages will be available for purchase at the Kaukapartio stand. The atmospheric Runeberg's cottage Christmas shop will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event also celebrates the end of the neighbourhood programme

This year, Haihara's Christmas is also the closing ceremony for the Kaukajärvi and Annala Neighbourhood Programme. The Manor will be the venue for a presentation of the developments made during the Kaukajärvi and Annala Neighbourhood Programme (2023–2025) and a tasting of various sweets. What will happen in Kauksu-Annala in 2040? Show it with Lego! At the same time, you can make Christmas cards to delight the elderly people living in the area.

Bus number 10 will take you there. Parking space is limited. Please dress warmly, as some of the performances will take place in the courtyard and in unheated courtyard buildings. Free admission!

The event is organized in cooperation with the City of Tampere's Public Cultural Services, the Kaukajärvi and Annala Neighbourhood Programme, Haihara's Kahvikamari, Kaukajärvi's Martat, Teatteri Lysti, Interi ry, Lions Club Kaukajärvi ry, Pakolaisnuorten tuki ry, Messukylän seurakunta, and Kaukapartio.

A more detailed schedule can be found in the event calendar and on the Facebook event page.
