Have you moved to Finland from abroad? Tell us what you think about your housing and living environment

City of Tampere is conducting a survey this autumn for residents who have moved to Tampere from abroad regarding their preferences on housing and living environment. The survey is open from 27.10.2025 to 16.11.2025.

The city wants to increase information on international residents’ satisfaction, as well as their wishes and needs in terms of housing and their living environment. The results will be used to develop Tampere's residential areas and housing supply.

- Many new Tampere residents are moving here from abroad. We want to hear the voices of people who have moved here from different cultural backgrounds and different living environments, so that we can better plan a city that suits everyone and homes that meet a variety of needs, says Kaisu Kammonen, Senior Specialist at the City of Tampere's Sustainable Housing and Construction Unit.

The survey is aimed at all Tampere residents who have moved to Finland from another country. The survey can be completed in Finnish, English, Ukrainian, Russian, Estonian, Dari/Farsi, and Arabic. You can change the language of the survey  on questionnaire.

The survey is anonymous. It takes about 10 minutes to complete the survey.

The respondents have a chance of participating in a raffle of ten Nysse gift cards worth 20 euros each.

The survey is conducted by the Tampere Welcoming City development program.
