City bike service is being developed – share your views in the survey

Tampere and Pirkkala are planning a joint regional city bike system together. To support the development, residents are invited to take part in a public survey – your answers will influence the future bike service. The survey is open until 31 August 2025.

The city of Tampere and the municipality of Pirkkala have started planning a regional city bike service. To support this work, a public survey is being conducted to gather residents’ experiences, ideas, and suggestions for improvement. The current system in the Tampere area will remain in use until autumn 2027.

The survey explores user experiences with the current service, as well as wishes and suggestions for its development. As well as bike features and the season length, the survey will focus particularly on developing the service into a regional city bike system for the Tampere and Pirkkala areas.

Responses are welcomed from residents of both Tampere and Pirkkala, including those who have not used the city bikes. Every response is valuable and will help to design a service that better meets the needs of local communities.

The survey is open until 31 August 2025, and takes approximately 10–20 minutes to complete. It works best on a computer using the Chrome browser. On mobile devices, questions are best viewed in landscape mode.
