Street works in the city centre on Vuolteenkatu - avoid passing through on the construction site section
In the centre of Tampere, street works will start on Vuolteenkatu between Hatanpään valtatien and Rautatienkatu on Monday 4.8.2025. The Vuolteenkatu will be paved with bus stop carriageways and works will be carried out at traffic barriers, or bollards.
On Vuoteenkatu, street works are carried out between Hatanpään valtatien and Rautatienkatu.
Vuolteenkatu is not closed, but only one lane is available in both directions. The position of the lane on the street will change as the work progresses. It is recommended to avoid through traffic on the construction section of Vuolteenkatu.
The estimated duration of the work is approximately three weeks, i.e. until 26 August. Bus stops will be out of service during the work.
The work will be carried out by Tampereen Infra Oy.
The underpass at Itsenäisyydenkatu will be opened to motor traffic on Tuesday 5 August.
