The summer season starts on Monday, 2 June 2025 and ends on Sunday, 3 August 2025. The timetables will change to meet summer demand, and commuter and school services will be suspended during the summer. Many lines will be on special routes throughout the summer period due to various construction works.
The route of bus 11 will be extended from Pere to Killo in Pirkkala.
Bus 29 will continue from Lamminrahka to Ojala.
The new summer line 93C will start in Maisansalo.
In Orivesi, the Nyssykkä line 95KUTSU will be discontinued and replaced by the new regular bus service 96.
During the summer season, line 18 will operate less frequently on Saturdays. Line 27 will not operate on Saturdays during the summer.
The following lines are on summer break: in Tampere lines 37, 90 (Aitolahdentie) and 93A , in Kangasala lines 44, 46, 47, 48A, 48B, 48C, 48D and 49, in Lempäälä lines 56 and 57, in Nokia lines 72, 76, 77 and 78, in Orivesi lines 97C and 97D, in Pirkkala line 39, in Valkeakoski lines 63, 65A, 68 and 69 and in Ylöjärvi line 86.
Lines 6, 16, 29, 42, 79, 90, 93 and 95 will be on special routes throughout the summer. These exceptions are due to various works in the city.
The northern tunnel of Itsenäisyydenkatu will be closed on June 2, 2025 due to renovations in the railway yard. Buses will be transferred to special routes between Tulli and the city centre for the summer. The tram will run through the tunnel as normal.
At Nokia station, there is construction work in progress, which will make Rautatienkatu a one-way street. All buses will leave from the stop Nokia B 9971 at the southern end of Rautatienkatu. In addition, bus 79 will take an additional detour via Maununkatu and Lauttala.
The special route of line 29 between Linnainmaa and Ristinarkku, which started in April, will continue throughout the summer.
On route 16, buses will continue to operate on the exceptional route between Ruotula and Takahuhti due to water supply works in Irjala. This route has been in use since March.
