Library opening hours for Easter 2025
Easter affects the opening hours of libraries.
Easter Thursday 17 April
- On Maundy Thursday, libraries will close at 17.00 at the latest, or at the normal closing time if earlier.
- Mobile libraries will stop operating at 16:00.
- Normal opening hours will be in use for the self-service libraries.
Good Friday 18 April
- On Good Friday, libraries will be closed except for the self-service libraries.
- Mobile libraries will not be operating.
- Normal opening hours will be in use for the self-service libraries.
Saturday 19 April
- On Saturday, libraries are open according to normal opening hours.
- Mobile libraries will not be operating.
- Normal opening hours will be in use for the self-service libraries.
Easter days 20 and 21 April
- Libraries are closed on Easter days, except for the self-service libraries.
- Mobile libraries will not be operating.
- Normal opening hours will be in use for the self-service libraries, except for Lielahti library, which has no self-service opening hours on Sunday 20 April.
During the self-service opening hours, the library doors will be opened with a library card and its PIN code. The library is not staffed, but you can use the library's services on a self-service basis.
