Every two years, the city conducts a survey that charts the experiences of Tampere residents regarding their well-being and neighborhoods. The results of the survey are used, among other things, in the planning of city services and the development of residential areas. In 2023, 2,800 Tampere residents responded to the survey, making a total of 12,000 map entries.
How to respond
The well-being survey can be answered in Finnish or English and takes about 15 minutes to complete.
You can participate in the survey using a smartphone or a computer. If needed, the survey can also be completed on paper at the City's Service Point in Frenckell (Frenckellinaukio 2 B) and at the Metso main library (Pirkankatu 2).
The survey is answered anonymously, and responses are treated confidentially. Individual respondents cannot be identified from the results.
Participants in the survey can choose to enter a raffle, where the prize is 8 gift cards worth 20 euros each for a grocery store.

Assessing your own well-being and marking important places on the map
In the well-being survey, respondents can, for example, assess their own health and exercise habits. There are also questions about loneliness, leisure time, and housing.
Additionally, respondents can evaluate the comfort, safety, and services of their neighborhood and mark important or special places on the map. Areas of concern that the city should pay more attention to can also be marked on the map.
