Development Grants for Culture Open for Applications in September-October 2026
The application round for the Development Grants for Culture will be open from 16 September to 7 October 2026. The purpose of the grant is to support the development of the cultural and arts sector in Tampere.
The grant may be awarded, for example, for the development of emerging festivals; the development of cultural activities that reach different neighbourhoods across the city; the creation and development of cooperation networks among cultural and arts communities; pilot projects and the development of working methods (such as new operating models, concepts and spatial solutions); competence development; and the preparation of applications for EU funding.

The aim of the Development grants for culture is to develop the activities of cultural and arts communities in Tampere. The grant can be awarded to registered cultural communities in Tampere, excluding communities that receive general grants for arts institutions.
The grant may cover a maximum of 80% of the eligible expenses of the development project, and the average amount of grants awarded is between €2,000 and €10,000. The grant must be used during the year 2026, even if the project for which the grant is awarded continues for longer.
When applying, the applicant community must submit an action plan, cost estimate, and financing plan for the development project.
