Grant can be applied for by sports and physical activity clubs operating in Tampere that are registered and have been active for at least one year. The club must offer recreational and competitive activities for children and young people under the age of 20.

General grants for sports open for applications 7–30 January 2026
Applications for the 2026 general grant must be submitted by Friday, 30 January 2026 at 15:45 via the electronic application form. The Culture and Leisure Committee will decide on general grants for sports on 26 March 2026.
In January, we will host clinics for those applying for general grants for sports and adapted sports on January 13 at 10:00 AM, January 21 at 5:00 PM, and January 28 at 5:00 PM.

General grants for sports can be awarded to associations operating in Tampere whose activities primarily focus on health-promoting physical activity for Tampere residents and related civic engagement. The grant supports the basic activities of associations in accordance with their rules.
The aim of the grant is to promote sports and physical activity among children and young people and to ensure the continued operation of the supported communities in Tampere. The application period for the grant is in January.
