Tampere for All development programme
Community. Equality. Care.
Tampere is growing and becoming more diverse at pace. At the same time, more and more people experience loneliness, exclusion or difficulty finding their place in the community.
Tampere For All is the City’s development programme for building a more connected, more equal and more caring Tampere. We want to create new ways for people to meet, strengthen participation, and make the city a place where everyone feels they belong.
Tampere For All is created together with residents, associations, communities, businesses, parishes and the wellbeing services county. We operate across the whole city, with a particular focus on selected neighbourhoods.
What do we do?
Community
- We develop community meeting places across the city and strengthen existing ones.
- We support resident- and community-led activities.
- We improve collaboration and address the root causes of loneliness.
- We create new ways to bring different groups of people together.
Equality
- We enhance the equality of city services through new tools and processes.
- We showcase the voices and stories of a diverse range of Tampere residents.
- We develop better services for an increasingly international Tampere.
Care
- We strengthen community-based ways of helping and supporting one another.
- We develop new solutions to improve social safety and security.
- We develop volunteering in Tampere together with associations.
- We expand outreach services that are easy to access.
The Tampere for All development programme strengthens the conditions for a good life in a growing city and aims to manage the city’s rapid growth in a more people-oriented way. The programme supports the implementation of the City Strategy and the Mayor’s Programme.
The Tampere for All development programme runs from 2026 to 2029.
