Market Hall is a meeting place right in the heart of Tampere. The historic hall, which has been open for over 120 years, combines tradition and modernity in a unique way - offering its visitors quality ingredients, delicacies from near and far and a warm atmosphere.

Over 30 cafés, restaurants and shops are waiting to serve you in the Market Hall. There's something for everyone from foodies and home chefs to craft enthusiasts.

Located at Hämeenkatu 19, there is also an entrance on Hallituskatu.

History

Tampere Market Hall was designed by architect Hjalmar Åberg and completed on 1 June 1901.

The hall has a floor area of 2 100m2 and a volume of about 18 500m3.

Tampere Market Hall was designated as a protected building on 6 February 1973.
