Senior housing is rental, shared ownership or owner-occupied housing designed specifically to meet the needs and lifestyle of older people. The Finnish Association for the Welfare of Older Adults's home repair advisory service helps people over 65 in assessment of repair and modification needs for older people’s homes, support in carrying out renovations, and assiss with applying for grants.

For repairs that improve the accessibility of your home and are necessary to make living at home safe and healthy, you can get a government repair grant.

The City of Tampere does not provide services for the elderly, nor does the city's housing consultation provide housing assessments or influence the choice of tenants in housing for the elderly.
