Service voucher Early Childhood Education and Care Centres
The Early Childhood Education Service Voucher Act will enter into force on 1.1.2026.
The service voucher daycare centres are private daycare centres approved as service providers by the City of Tampere. Such centres may be located either in Tampere or the surrounding municipalities.
You can apply for an early childhood education place at a service voucher daycare center in eVaka using the same application form as for a municipal early childhood education place. The same form also serves as a service voucher application.
When a child is granted a place in early childhood education and care by a service voucher daycare centre, a decision on the service voucher will also be made for the family. To determine the client fee and the value of the service voucher, the family must provide information on their income like in municipal early childhood education and care.
The client fee for a service voucher daycare centre is made up of the service voucher’s copayment as well as any additional fee a private daycare centre may choose to levy. The copayments are determined according to the same criteria as client fees in municipally provided early childhood education and care. More detailed information on the conditions of the service voucher day care fee and on absences affecting the fee can be obtained from the daycare centre and the service agreement with the daycare centre.
