Lielahti Daycare Centre

The Lielahti daycare centre for 160 children, has been completed in 2021 and divided into four home areas. The building consists of two wings and floors, blue and yellow.

Each floor has two home areas with five different group rooms with lobby, hall and toilets. The yellow home area on the ground floor has a sibling group in addition to the integrated group. The blue home area downstairs has a sibling group for 1-5 year olds.

The upstairs home areas consist of sibling groups of 1–5-year-olds. Each home area has about 40 children who work in different small groups according to their needs, activities and interests. There are 6-7 employees working in each home area.

The daycare centre has a communal dining room, where meals are staggered. In addition, there is a communal gym, media library, studio and small kitchen. The fenced yard area has a wide range of playgrounds and equipment, as well as a separate playing field for outdoor games. The nearby forest also offers a wonderful learning environment for daycare centre groups.
