At the same time, the Group Committee approved the deed of sale and authorised the Group Chief Executive Officer to make minor revisions to it, if necessary, prior to signing.
In September 2026, Varke, the centre for state-subsidised residential construction, confirmed a transfer price of €1,287,287, which is also the highest permitted transfer price for the property.
The book value of the shares in Vilusen Rinne Vuokra-asunnot Oy on the city’s balance sheet is approximately €79,000. The city is expected to record a capital gain of approximately €1.2 million from the sale of the shares.
Rental use to continue
Under the terms of the deed of sale, Tampereen Vuokra-asunnot Oy undertakes to maintain the property as rental accommodation for at least three years following the sale, and to promote good occupancy rates, tenant satisfaction and tenant cooperation.
– “This arrangement clarifies the ownership structure of the city’s rental housing stock and brings properties subject to ARA restrictions under a single owner. At the same time, it ensures that the properties will continue to be used as rental flats and that, from the residents’ perspective, everyday life remains stable,” says Matti Helimo, Chair of the Group Committee.
